approve the

transfer of that registration

mark from the

certificate of retention

certificate of entitlement

upon which it has been stored, to a vehicle. Assignment is the term specifically used for this process; where the registration mark has been on a certificate. Where the registration mark is taken from one vehicle and directly transferred to another vehicle, that process is, simply, known as a "

cherished transfer
