Recipient Of Number Plates

When a registration is put into a vehicle it must have come from somewhere – a

certificate of retention

, a

certificate of entitlement

or another vehicle. If it has come from another vehicle, that vehicle is known as the donor and the vehicle to which the mark is transferred is the receiving vehicle. The parties to the transaction are known as the donor and recipient respectively.
