V750 Certificate of Entitlement

but is easily differentiated by virtue of that fact that a

V778

is green rather than pink. The document shows a "grantee" and a "nominee" (if the latter has been opted for). The "grantee" is usually the same as the registered keeper of the vehicle from which it has been transferred. However, this is not always the case because the registered keeper is able to choose another individual at the time when the registration is initially placed on retention. It is ONLY at the stage of initial application that this option can be taken; thereafter, it must remain the same throughout the document's life even if it is extended.
